Introduction to the role:
Our dedicated Health Real Estate team in Liverpool are looking to recruit an ambitious Associate, to support on the delivery of transactional property work for primary care clients.
Within this role, you will be given plenty of client responsibility and exposure (including travel) whilst being part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Introduction To The TeamExperts in their field, the Health Real Estate team regularly advises NHS bodies and independent sector providers of health and social care services on a broad range of property matters. As well as advising ICBs, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, primary care providers and private healthcare companies, the team advises key national organisations including NHS England.
Key Responsibilities- Property support on primary care practice mergers and acquisitions
- Sale and purchase of business premises, particularly in the primary care sector
- Negotiation of leases and associated landlord and tenant matters - acting for landlords and tenants and on sale and leaseback transactions
- Title investigation and reporting
- Assisting NHS Trust clients with their portfolio management
- Deed of Easements, Licences, Tenancy at Will
- Developing an understanding of and advising on NHS funding rules for primary care premises
- Providing property support to the wider commercial team on innovative contracting including joint ventures, alliance agreements and partnering arrangements
- Supporting the team with client management activities
- Supporting business development strategies of the team and wider business group and presenting as the face of the firm to clients and intermediaries
- Developing your own relationships with clients / intermediaries
- Qualified Solicitor
- Proven experience of advising in all areas of commercial property law and practice, ideally within the sector but other relevant experience will be considered
- Proven landlord and tenant experience
- Excellent communication, organisation and research skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrable ability to manage high volume caseloads, achieving strict client deadlines
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and develop relationships within the wider team
- Willingness to take responsibility and ownership of client work, with supervision as appropriate
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to play a proactive part in business development and profile-raising activity
- Positive attitude and interest in exploring and learning about new and unfamiliar legal areas
- Ability to work flexibly and proactively
