Remote​/Woodlands, TX Litigation Paralegal; Personal Injury

Overview

If you are a confident, experienced, and proactive personal injury litigation paralegal who would be comfortable working independently and on a remote work schedule, you ll fit right in.

• Handle case initial investigations and client and case-related communications
• Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other correspondence
• Manage case files, deadlines, and electronic filings in state and (rarely) federal courts
• Conduct legal research and prepare and send notices, demands, and other prelit communications
• Organize documents for trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination
• Negotiate liens and settlements with third parties
• Assist clients with finding medical providers
• Any other duties as assigned

• Must reside in the Houston, Texas area, preferably in or around The Woodlands, TX area.
• Previous personal injury litigation experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures from Texas case e-filing to resolution
• Proficiency in legal research tools
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively to meet deadlines
• Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred, not required.
• Generous PTO after the first year of employment

• Salary Range: $27 - $32, depending on experience and education
