About the role:

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our community — someone who is eager to apply their knowledge of international law, gain experience working with a global IT company, communicate with clients from all over the world, and collaborate on interesting and complex tasks together with our Chief Legal Officer.

What you will do:
  • Support the legal team in advising on data privacy and data protection matters under applicable laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR and other privacy frameworks);
  • Assist with incident response activities, including initial legal assessments of potential data breaches and security incidents;
  • Help track and assess notification requirements to regulators, customers, and other stakeholders under supervision;
  • Collaborate with Information Security, Technology, Service Delivery, and other internal teams during security and privacy incidents;
  • Support the preparation of incident-related documentation, reports, and communications;
  • Assist in maintaining and updating incident response policies, procedures, and playbooks from a legal perspective;
  • Conduct legal research on privacy, cybersecurity, and general commercial or regulatory matters, and summarize findings for senior counsel;
  • Support privacy risk assessments and DPIAs, including document preparation and follow-up actions;
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing DPAs, NDAs, and other standard commercial contracts;
  • Provide support on general corporate legal matters, including contract management, internal policies, and legal documentation;
  • Help monitor compliance with internal policies and applicable laws, and support internal audits or compliance initiatives;
  • Participate in privacy, incident response, and general legal training and awareness activities;
  • Assist with coordination of external counsel on privacy, incident response, and general legal matters as needed.
What you need to succeed in this role:
  • Law degree with 1–3 years of experience in legal practice or an in-house legal role (privacy, IT, regulatory, or commercial law exposure is a plus);
  • Foundational knowledge of data protection and privacy laws, such as GDPR and related regulations;
  • Basic understanding of data breach and incident response concepts, including confidentiality, notification obligations, and risk assessment;
  • Ability to conduct legal research, analyze regulations, and clearly summarize findings for senior stakeholders;
  • Experience or familiarity with contract drafting and review, including NDAs, DPAs, and standard commercial agreements;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) required;
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Technology, Security, Service Delivery);
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and develop expertise in privacy, cybersecurity, and incident response.
Will be an advantage:
  • Experience in copyright/IP disputes;
  • Understanding of U.S. or U.K. contract law;
  • Prior experience working in product or service-based IT companies.
