We are seeking a talented Insurance Defense Attorney to join our Charlotte office. This role offers hands‑on experience handling all phases of insurance defense matters, including third-party liability and coverage‑related litigation. The position involves direct client contact and close collaboration with paralegals, legal assistants, and claims professionals to deliver high‑quality legal services efficiently.

• Manage insurance defense cases from inception through resolution, including trial when necessary
• Evaluate new matters and develop case strategies, budgets, and recommendations
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; oversee document production and case organization
• Attend and conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Communicate regularly with insurance carriers, adjusters, paralegals, and legal assistants
• Negotiate settlements, obtain settlement authority, and prepare cases for trial
• Provide timely case evaluations, status updates, and detailed reporting to clients

• 2–10 years of insurance defense or related litigation experience
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or South Carolina
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent
• Strong written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
