We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Veterans Benefits Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with senior team members to advocate for veterans by preparing case documentation, communicating with clients and the VA, and managing claims and appeals.
Responsibilities- Conduct research and review client files to support case development.
- Complete forms and releases with clients to obtain medical records, Social Security records, service records and other necessary records and information
- Draft and submit claims, appeals, and correspondence to the VA.
- Assist claimants in understanding and pursuing their VA benefits.
- Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload, meeting deadlines and ensuring timely communication.
- Review VA decisions to verify all documents are present in client files.
- Maintain detailed case records using a case management system.
- Provide compassionate support and guidance to clients throughout the process.
Must have at least 3-5 years as a Paralegal handling Veterans Disability cases; CANDIDATES WITH NO VETERANS DISABILITY CASE EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
- Experience with Neos Case Management / document management beneficial but not required
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- This is a full-time position, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- This position can be onsite in Raleigh, NC or remote from anywhere in the US.
