Overview
Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a highly qualified Staff Attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group. This opportunity is open to our Atlanta, GA or Phoenix, AZ offices. The position involves working in an active and dynamic litigation practice that touches all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial. The successful candidate will be given autonomy to handle assigned cases while having access to the knowledge and experience of seasoned litigators.
Responsibilities- Contribute to an active mass tort practice by handling discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial activities.
- Collaborate with litigators to analyze and strategize how to handle each case.
- Conduct legal research and apply laws, court decisions, and rules of evidence and procedure to defend clients and seek successful resolutions.
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with paralegals, legal practice assistants, and staff.
- At least two years of experience in insurance defense, bad faith, and ERISA litigation preferred.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Team player and self-starter who seeks increasing levels of responsibility.
- Licensed in Georgia or Arizona (in good standing) or eligible to seek admission without examination.
- Willing to travel for court appearances and other proceedings as necessary.
- Open to work-from-home, part-time, or flexible hour arrangements.
