Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Criminal Defense Attorney based in Tempe, AZ, with flexibility for some work-from-home hours. The role involves representing clients in criminal cases, conducting thorough legal research, preparing defense strategies, drafting legal documents, and advocating on behalf of clients in court. The attorney will collaborate closely with other team members to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Consistent communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel will also be a core aspect of this role.
- Proficiency in Criminal Defense Law, Criminal Law, and related legal frameworks.
- Strong skills in legal research to analyze cases, statutes, regulations, and precedent.
- Ability to develop effective defense strategies and represent clients in court proceedings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft legal documents concisely and persuasively.
- Licensed attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona (or ability to obtain licensure promptly).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Trial experience and familiarity with local court procedures are highly preferred.
