Freelance Oil & Gas Lawyer; Ad-hoc Project - Remote

Flexible Services from Pinsent Masons Vario provides freelance legal professionals access to high-quality legal work with our firm and prestigious clients in a fully flexible way.

We are now looking to expand our bench with exceptional Oil & Gas Lawyers who are interested in ad-hoc projects; ranging from a few hours per week to fit around your existing portfolio, through to short 2–4-week engagements.

To meet the requirements of these opportunities, you will be a qualified lawyer and have experience of:

• Upstream oil and gas contracts, JVs, M&A support etc and/or oil and gas service contracts.
• At least 3 years’ oil & gas experience within a law firm or in-house team. An understanding of the industry standard template contracts (including LOGIC) would be useful.
• Availability and flexibility to engage on ad-hoc projects for varying periods of time.

• A strong academic background
• Experience gained within a leading law firm or equivalent global in-house/secondment experience
• A flexible, communicative and adaptable approach
• Enthusiastic about embracing new work cultures
• The ability to rapidly develop close, trusting relationships

Assignments vary in scope and seniority and can suit those looking to work full-time, part-time or an hourly basis. Whilst the majority of our roles are currently performed in a hybrid capacity, some are performed remotely and as such we see opportunities to support Pinsent Masons and our clients across the UK and would welcome applications accordingly.
