Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of auto and property subrogation litigation from investigation through resolution, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, negotiations, arbitrations, trials, and post‑trial motions.
- Investigate and pursue subrogation claims and litigation opportunities, identifying liability, evaluating damages, and determining recovery strategies.
- Contact and negotiate with third‑party carriers to resolve auto and property subrogation cases efficiently and effectively.
- Review new file assignments, approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop litigation and negotiation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with insureds and internal clients, providing case updates and documenting communications at least every 90 days.
- Coordinate closely with claims teams to discuss litigation plans and ensure consistent updates throughout the life of each case.
- Review and analyze documentary evidence, including claims files, medical records, expert materials, and liability documentation.
- Prepare witnesses for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Conduct depositions and prepare detailed summaries to support case strategy.
- Prepare for and conduct court appearances, including conferences, hearings, settlement proceedings, and dispositive motions.
- Arbitrate cases and prepare motions and briefs as needed.
- Manage legal projects and caseloads effectively, ensuring collaboration across legal, claims, and support teams.
• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
Minimum Requirements- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a high‑volume caseload efficiently.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative legal team environment.
- Proficiency with legal research and case management tools, including Microsoft Office, Lexis Nexis, and internet‑based research platforms.
- Effective communication skills, with experience working alongside attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, and claims professionals.
- Must be commutable distance to courthouses throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Sign‑On Bonus
Qualified candidates may be eligible for a one‑time $10,000 sign‑on bonus, paid within 60 days of the start date.
Compensation
Base salary for this role ranges from $105,000 to $135,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Background investigation
All candidates will be required to submit to a background investigation.
