Fixed Term: 6 months (Full Time). The role involves routine patrolling of parks and open spaces, enforcement of byelaws, policing events, crowd management, event traffic control, and supervising constables.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol borough’s parks and open spaces.
- Enforce byelaws and park regulations.
- Police events, crowd management and event traffic control.
- Supervise day‑to‑day duties of Parks and Events Police Constables.
- Prepare witness statements, court cases and liaise with other agencies.
- Recent policing experience with knowledge of Criminal Law and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
- Full UK driving licence (manual).
- Experience working within Home Office Police Service, Parks Police Service, British Transport Police or another Police Service enforcing law, rules and regulations.
- Experience supervising a team of constables across dispersed locations.
- Experience planning and executing large‑scale enforcement operations.
- Experience with traffic control and crowd control at events.
- Experience attending court and presenting evidence.
- Experience assisting public members face to face and by phone.
- Experience monitoring and operating CCTV.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office IT packages and databases.
