Legal Cashier / Salary £30,000 – £35,000 / Remote Working / Excellent Benefits / Permanent Role Legal Cashier Role Overview

NC Associates has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join a forward-thinking law firm who are offering a rare opportunity for remote working. You must be able/committed to travelling to the Merseyside area for 3 or 4 days for the first few weeks for training before the role will become fully remote. As the Legal Cashier you will report into the Head Cashier.

• Monitoring receipt of funds to client and office accounts.
• Bank reconciliations for both office and client accounts.
• Processing all accounting transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Completion of month and year end processes.
• Preparation of VAT reports.
• Checking that all payment and receipt requests are authorised
• Setting up of banking payments for authorisation.
• Responding to legal cashiering accounts queries.
• Managing and processing the accounts payable ledger.

• Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role within a law firm
• Sound knowledge of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules (SAR) and legal accounting procedures
• Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
