A new opportunity has arisen in our Commercial Dispute Resolution team for a talented and driven Associate or Senior Associate (NQ to 5 years’ PQE) to support clients on a wide range of contentious and advisory matters.
The roleYou will be working for a diverse range of clients ranging from global corporates, well-known regional businesses, fast growing SMEs, through to high-net-worth individuals across the firm’s key sectors. Your work will be varied and will include:
- your own caseload and client relationships – we pride ourselves on taking the time to get to know our clients, their businesses and their objectives and you will play a key role in nurturing new and existing relationships;
- supporting the partners and senior colleagues on complex matters, whilst also mentoring and supervising junior colleagues;
- assisting with business development initiatives; and
- designing and delivering in person and virtual training and presentations both internally and externally.
To be successful in your application, you will currently be a commercial disputes specialist in a busy and highly regarded team (we are considering NQ to 5years’ PQE experience). You will be able to demonstrate your ability to develop both yourself and strong internal and external relationships.
You will already be building general commercial disputes expertise and strong technical knowledge, and as a successful applicant you will have the opportunity towork on the following types of cases:
- technology-related dispute resolution work – Clarion has established a reputation advising both large corporate and public-sector clients on business-critical IT;
- outsourcing and logistics issues advising on fundamentally important matters for our client in sectors such as sport, healthcare, education and training;
- shareholder/corporate/partnership/JV and post M&A disputes;
- judicial review, procurement challenges and related damages claims;
- large-scale, multi-million contract dispute claims in manufacturing, retail and other core sectors; and/or
- international work with the chance to assist in developing that source of work into the firm.

The role is based in Leeds with the ability to work from home 2 days per week.
