Job Title
Attorney – Trust & Estates
LocationGarden City, Long Island, NY; on site 5 days/week; remote work may be available after establishment.
Responsibilities- Draft estate plan documents such as Wills, Grantor Trusts, revocable and irrevocable trusts, QPRTs, CRUTs/CRATs, and ILITS.
- Handle all facets of estate administration including preparing and filing probate and administration petitions, preparing and filing estate tax returns, managing estate accounts, estate distribution, will contests, accountings and miscellaneous proceedings.
- Meet and interview clients for estate plans and supervise will executions.
- Advise and assist trustees, trust and estate beneficiaries and personal representatives in probate administration, trust administration and disputes in connection with estate and trust administration.
- Research complex estate and gift tax issues.
- Admitted in New York.
- 3 to 5 years of experience preferred.
- $125,000 to $150,000 annual base salary.
- 5 days per week in the office / 30 PTO days (use or lose). Once established, some remote work may be available.
- 5% company contribution to 401k after 90 days / Health plan 60% / Dental employee paid / Life employer paid.
