Job Description
Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Trial Attorney, you'll handle PIP/No Fault Arbitration Hearings, bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with opportunities to handle trials, mediations, and other hearings. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Stay ahead of the game by monitoring new laws and regulations, ensuring our strategies remain sharp.

- Manage all aspects of PIP/no-fault litigation from case inception through resolution including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports.
- Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Interview clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records.
- Attend arbitration hearings, court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine matters.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases.
- Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to more complex legal work.
- Defend the company against medical bill claims
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New Jersey state bar.
- Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis, demonstrating the ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documents.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Capable of organizing case files, managing legal documents, and understanding the discovery process.
- Skilled in communicating with clients, preparing summaries, and maintaining records of interactions.
- Well-versed in legal ethics and the standards of professional conduct.
- Equipped with fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions and settlement discussions.
- Must reside within a commutable distance and be able to travel throughout New Jersey, as needed, for trials, court appearances, virtual hearings, and other related proceedings.
- This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation:
