• Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations before trial
• Defend assigned cases by trial or dispositive hearing
• Document files in a clear, concise, professional manner for various stakeholders

• 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
• Juris Doctor degree
• Admission to the Georgia bar and licensed in good standing to practice law in Georgia
• Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, and other professional engagements
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow complex instructions

• Civil litigation experience
• Insurance defense-related litigation experience
• Professional communication skills in person, via telephone, and in written correspondence
