LHH is partnering with an established law firm that serves as "outside in-house" counsel to a company that operates nursing homes throughout the state of Tennessee to recruit an experienced long-term care defense litigator. The position is a hybrid law firm/in‑house role where the successful candidate will manage Tennessee litigation arising from the operation of the company's Tennessee facilities. This is a fully remote position that can sit anywhere in Tennessee
.
This attorney will work from home with travel only as‑needed for court appearances across the state, though telephonic/video hearings and depositions are encouraged whenever possible.
Qualifications Sought:
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation attorney experience defending nursing homes or other healthcare providers against claims of malpractice and negligence
- Ability to manage caseload of 30-50 pending matters autonomously
- Willingness to travel as necessary to attend court appearances and depositions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in all phases of litigation, including talking and defending depositions and conducting mediations and settlement conferences
- Juris Doctorate Degree and an Active Tennessee bar license
