** Remote Position:
Person must live in Kansas City or Saint Louis:

BJC Health System is looking for a
** Senior Counsel with 3-5 years
** experience to provide legal services to the Health System and its affiliated entities under the direction of senior legal management leadership. This position would be responsible to:
* Analyze legal issues and risks and provide legal guidance to clients, review and draft contracts and other documents, to maximize protection of the organization's assets and interest,
* Provide a comprehensive range of legal services to BJC Hospitals and Service Organizations, with an emphasis on corporate governance, transactional matters and contracting within the Health System’s academic medical center,
* Provide expertise in developing new policies, revising existing policies; and provide advice in the implementation and application of policies,
* Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage a large, diverse, and complex workload,
* Possess exceptional legal knowledge and excellent written and communication skills,
* Conduct legal research and due diligence related to transactional matters,
* Assist in preparing board and committee materials, resolutions, and corporate filings,
* Monitor developments in corporate governance and support compliance efforts, and
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.#
