Japanese Translator

Job Description:

This is a fully remote position for as a translator to support our audit process for MG Japan. The audit is for our year-end non-financial reporting data related to HR activities (workforce demographic data). The person need not have expertise in these areas but be well versed enough in a business, audit context setting to translate business concepts across from English to Japanese.

The most important component is fluency in both languages, English and Japanese.

Timeline:
Week 1:
Reviewing materials that are part of the audit (guide, Excel files, etc) to familiarize with the subject of discussion
Week 2:
Participating in 2 audit meetings as a translator between MG Japan and EY (up to 3 hours each);
Assisting translating any follow up questions from EY
Week 3:
Available in case any assistance is needed translating follow up questions from EY
Approx 2 hours of work per day

Skills

The most important skill is fluency in both languages, English and Japanese.

Experience with the audit process and HR data is preferred, but not required.
