Data Force by Trans Perfect is seeking a Language Engineer with idiomatic fluency in Portuguese to join our team in Portugal, working remotely on data curation and evaluation.

• Curate, evaluate, and annotate linguistic and audio data to ensure high standards of quality, relevance, and consistency
• Evaluate outputs from speech models
• Run scripts via command line; potentially also write scripts or evaluate code
• Proofread (e.g. audio scripts) and proof-listen audio data (e.g. recorded speech) for accuracy, pronunciation, and expressiveness
• Provide feedback and insights based on data analysis
• Participate in test evaluations and problem-solving discussions

• Idiomatic fluency in Portuguese
• Bachelor s degree or higher in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics
  , or a related field
• Knowledge of phonetics/phonology
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions from complex datasets
• Previous experience in similar tasks (data curation, evaluation, or linguistic analysis) preferred
• Comfortable working with basic command line tools to run pre-written scripts; experience with Python preferred
• Strong understanding of core linguistic concepts, including syntax, semantics, and morphology
• Proficiency in an additional language (such as Italian, French, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
