Job DescriptionAField Service Technician provides industry‑best technical support on computer‑based medical instrumentation. This role is responsible for establishing strong relationships with customers, managers, and the national service team. The position is based remotely and covers multiple states.
Responsibilities- Stay up to date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.
- Visit customer locations to perform installation, calibration, and equipment repair on company offerings.
- Complete calibration forms onsite and email to customers within 24 hours. Ensure that knowledge of products serviced is held to a high standard and up to date.
- Work closely with sales and service teams and customers to understand their service needs.
- Work closely with the service scheduling team for territory management and streamline monthly schedule whenever possible.
- Maintain customer focus and a sense of urgency related to performance and problem solving, with emphasis on innovation and utilization of technology.
- Effective customer interaction through good interpersonal relationships, asking questions, listening carefully and providing appropriate information. Recognize issues, problems or opportunities and determine the appropriate action required.
- Order and maintain adequate truck stock to replace defective parts in the field when needed.
- Manage appropriate tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper functioning order and meet Company’s quality standards.
- Multi‑task to complete responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Book travel arrangements, including flights and lodging, according to planned customer visits.
- Attend trade shows, presentations and meetings as required. Submit expense reports in a timely manner.
