What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Investigate, secure, and analyze information related to claimants’ medical conditions, occupational demands, and eligibility for disability benefits
  • Determine whether coverage should be rescinded, collaborating with underwriting and legal teams as necessary
  • Identify financial or medical discrepancies and secure additional documentation while adhering to prescribed time frames
  • Make and communicate disability approval decisions, ensuring accurate benefit issuance
  • Act as a liaison with underwriting, reinsurance carriers, sales, and private investigators to facilitate the claims process
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of disability claims processing experience, including at least 2 years of IDI‑specific claims experience
  • Ability to interpret claim evaluation materials such as contract language and medical records
  • Experience in identifying potentially fraudulent activity and managing litigation‑related situations
  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to focus on high‑impact components
