• Independently manage all aspects of complex, high-value claims while demonstrating a detailed knowledge of the claim
• Provide proactive communications to customers and business partners regarding claims management and resolution
• Review and analyze multiple complex policies and coverage parts, including general liability and affirmative pollution coverages
• Effectively manage litigation, including planning, budgeting, and positioning claims for resolution
• Conduct investigations and develop complex coverage, liability, and damage assessments

• Minimum of 5+ years of general liability claim handling experience
• Experience with commercial general liability claims for Consultant level; experience with environmental or latent injury claims for Specialist level
• Proven track record of effective negotiations and settlement of high-value claims
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Active Property & Casualty State Insurance Adjuster license or ability to obtain licensing within 3 months of hire

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• 10+ years of long-tail claim handling experience
• JD or other advanced degree, or experience in an environmental consulting discipline (such as geology, hydrology, ecology, or environmental engineering) a plus
