What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating, supporting individual account pricing and portfolio rate making
  • Conduct statistical analyses to develop pricing recommendations, documenting assumptions and methods in an organized manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and claims, for actuarial support
  • Participate in peer reviews to enhance collaboration and quality of work
  • Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field and 5 years of post-bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis, or a graduate degree in the same fields with 3 years of experience
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, and Radar
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Actuarial analysis experience in Commercial Auto lines insurance
  • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the actuarial industry and insurance marketplace
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate findings effectively
  • Participation in employee resource groups or community volunteering
