We have an existing opportunity to add a Transportation, Equipment & Cargo Adjuster to join our growing team! You will work in a Remote or Hybrid based environment supporting requests within the Calgary area.
Our TEC unit is a dedicated team of experienced professionals offering specialized claims services for the Transportation, Equipment, and Cargo (TEC) industries as they pertain to Collision, Cargo, Total Loss and Salvage Valuations, Environmental Management and Control, Liability and Subrogation Management, Bodily Injury Case Management (BI Tort, Accident Benefits) and CGL Investigations. TEC specializes in administration of Trust Accounts for fleet operations, providing services in English and French.
Managing Complexity with Accessibility – TEC facilitates the claims process, acting as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders. This minimizes response times and streamlines reporting, allowing clients to develop a comfortable working relationship with TEC, promoting confidence among all parties and ensuring a swift and successful resolution to claims.

Key Responsibilities
Prompt contact and follow up with policy holders and claimants.
Investigate the cause and report to clients with solid recommendations.
Using supplied technology, scope and establish quantum of damages
Identify exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements.
Throughout the claims process, you will provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured.
You will participate and share ownership and responsibility for after-hours customer service requirements when required
Perform duties assigned to him/her in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures
Qualifications and
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience with an established client base and proven track record of:
Additional professional claims related designation such as FCIP, CFEI, CLA, FCIAA, or postsecondary qualification or equivalent national or international designation
Physical damage to power units, trailers, equipment and cargo
Theft and fraud investigations
Environmental impairment related to fuel spills and transport related spills of other pollutants
Subrogation
Liability and Bodily Injury investigations
Accident Benefits Transport related property (warehouses, terminals, maintenance facilities
