Premium Insurance Auditor (Hybrid
- Entry Level)
NEIS, LLC has a long-standing presence in the insurance audit and loss control prevention industry. Premium Auditors examine the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and to identify evidence of fraud. This is a hybrid role with remote work and required travel to audit locations. Car travel is expected 2–4 days per week within the assigned territory.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by auditing policyholder records and applying manual rules and company standards.
- Prepare for audits by identifying the necessary information and types of records needed.
- Prepare schedules to maximize efficient use of time.
- Correspond with insured via phone, email, and mail to set up audit appointments.
- Examine the policyholder’s records, gather data to determine correct classifications for business activities, and write a clear description of operations.
- Prepare complete audit documentation, explain results to the insured, and communicate results to the home office.
- Travel to multiple audit locations and complete remote audits as needed (hybrid).
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus two years’ experience performing premium audits, or an equivalent education/experience combination.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial documents.
- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with customers and staff.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Evidence of automobile insurance with bodily injury limits equal to or greater than $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined.
