Liability Claims Handler

Overview

Liability Claims Handler – Remote £28,000 – £32,000 An opportunity to join a large, specialist Liability claims team within a well-established adjusting practice, offering fully remote working and clear long-term development.

• Manage your own caseload of Liability claims from start to finish
• Handle a mix of Employers’ Liability, Public/Personal Liability and Commercial claims
• Work alongside a senior Liability Adjuster on more complex and higher-value cases
• Gather and review evidence, including statements, documentation and policy cover
• Clearly explain liability decisions to customers in a fair, non-technical and unbiased manner
• Negotiate settlements and manage challenges to achieve timely resolution
• Liaise with third parties including solicitors, insurers and other stakeholders
• Work in line with client instructions, SLAs and internal KPIs

• Experience with in a claims environment, ideally with exposure to Liability claims
• Strong end-to-end caseload management skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced, KPI-driven setting
• Good understanding or awareness of FCA regulations and Treating Customers Fairly
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
