We’re looking for an experienced Claims Advisor to join our Workers’ Compensation team. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of complex workers’ compensation claims from inception to settlement, working closely with injured workers, employers, brokers, legal vendors, and regulators, to deliver timely, cost‑effective and sustainable return‑to‑work outcomes. You’ll set and review reserves, develop case strategies and evaluations, elevate issues when needed, and ensure all claims activities meet Zurich and Work Cover governance, legislative, and quality assurance requirements.
You’ll also lead engagement with legal partners, represent Zurich at resolution meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement and strategic priorities across the team.
- Proven experience in Workers’ Compensation claims, with strong technical claims handling and injury management skills.
- Sound knowledge of Western Australia Workers’ Compensation legislation and experience working within statutory schemes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting vulnerable customers, delivering empathy-driven, high-quality customer service.
- Strong decision-making and case planning skills, including setting and reviewing reserves and developing case strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners (brokers, insurers, legal vendors, regulators).
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance, quality assurance and governance.
- Resilience and the ability to manage competing priorities and complex caseloads.
