This position is eligible for up to a $2,500 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment for external candidates with an active All-Lines Adjusters license in Florida or Texas (documentation of active license and all CE’s must be completed and up to date).
This job posting is for multiple countrywide roles in our Complex Casualty Claims Organization. This role may be remote or hybrid (10% in office) depending upon location, with an in-office requirement twice a month if you live within 50 miles of one of our Hub locations as follows:

Travel up to 10% may be required for mediations, arbitrations, trials and in-person events. Training is a critical component to your success, and attendance is mandatory.
Responsibilities- Manage, investigate, and resolve auto and homeowner’s casualty claims. Investigate and evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and settle claims within prescribed procedures and authority. Reconcile ultimate resolutions on assigned cases in excess of authority with local claims management and Home Office.
- Identify potential suspicious claims and refer to SIU; identify opportunities for third party subrogation.
- Prepare for and attend trials, hearings and conferences; report to Home Office and local management on status.
- Confer with trial counsel and prepare trial reports.
- Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information; coordinate tasks with auxiliary resources and advise on proper course of action.
- Respond to inquiries including status reports.
- Ensure adequacy of reserves and recommend reserve increases on cases in excess of authority.
- Accountable for the security of financial processing of claims and the security of information contained in claims files.
- Manage practices and billing activities of outside and in-house counsel.
- May assist in the absence of the Claims Team Manager, representing the company on matters involving state or federal regulatory agencies.
- May be involved in special projects and/or mentoring at the direction of local management.
- 5+ years of complex and litigation experience
- Expert knowledge of handling personal lines complex claims with severe to catastrophic injuries and fatalities
- Expert knowledge of coverage, liability, and complex claims handling procedures
- Ability to handle claims at the highest technical and complexity level
- Knowledge of state and federal laws in the adjuster’s jurisdiction
- Full working knowledge of claims operations and procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal, analytical, investigative and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 7 years of directly related experience
- Ability to obtain proper licensing as required
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
