What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal Specialty accounts that drive profitable growth
  • Apply technical, sales, and analytical skills to provide insurance solutions to manage risk
  • Manage an assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, and retention goals
  • Develop strong agency relationships to drive profitable new and renewal business
  • Utilize market and competitor information to enhance relationships and individual account decision-making
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Generally, 3-7+ years of Specialty or standard commercial lines experience
  • 3-4+ years of experience driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external business partners
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make sound business decisions based on authority level
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in complex accounts and a track record of adapting to change
  • Knowledge of financial reporting information and insurance performance measures
  • Proven ability to negotiate and build trust with clients and partners
  • Familiarity with underwriting concepts, risk selection, and loss analysis
  • Experience in sales management and relationship development strategies
