RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II
Zurich is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster II to join the Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS provides crop insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of licensed agents. RCIS offers a wide range of private product coverages, including named-peril options, supplemental and stand-alone insurance products, and federal crop insurance plans through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency.
This position is based in Minnesota and will work from a home-based office. It is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with travel projected at approximately 50% to cover the designated territory.
The ideal candidate will need to live and service within a 100-mile area of the following Minnesota counties:
Becker, Big Stone, Clay, Grant, Mahnomen, Norman, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Todd, Traverse, and/or Wilkin.

Responsibilities- With minimal supervision, completes field inspections and related responsibilities such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields and storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers on complex, non-routine, and controversial claims.
- Conveys complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals on claim situations.
- Performs fact finding regarding crop damage, records information, and transmits loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
- Gathers relevant facts, utilizes applicable law, and establishes basic principles of negligence.
- Completes claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
- Ensures legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed.
- Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in crop insurance and claims adjusting.
- Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the territory.

Physical Requirements:
ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25–50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Experience providing technical training to other crop professionals.

The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed hourly rate for this position is $24.66 - $33.89, with a short-term incentive bonus eligibility of 5%.
