Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Personal Lines Account Manager based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Account Manager is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone eager to build a long-term career in insurance. You ll start by supporting our marine insurance clients, while also assisting with home and auto accounts. Comprehensive training will be provided by our experienced team.
No prior insurance experience is required—we build the role from the basics. The focus is on client service and account support. With strong performance, you ll advance to an all lines Account Manager role and potentially toward becoming a licensed agent.
Key Responsibilities- Service an existing book of marine, home, auto, and personal insurance clients.
- Provide backup support across accounts to ensure seamless client experiences.
- Learn and apply insurance coverages, forms, and carrier guidelines through hands-on training.
- Maintain accurate records in our agency management system.
- Build strong organizational habits while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to client retention and satisfaction through responsive, detail-oriented service.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
- High attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Comfortable working independently after training.
- No insurance experience necessary—enthusiasm and reliability are key.
- Willingness to obtain Property & Casualty insurance license (we support and guide the process post-hire).
- Reliable transportation for initial in-office days.
