About the Role
Our client, a well-established insurance agency serving a broad and diverse commercial customer base, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to support and manage new business commercial accounts. This role works closely with two New Business Account Managers. The ideal candidate is licensed, experienced, and able to step into the workflow immediately. This position offers flexibility for in-office or remote work, depending on experience and fit.
Job Description
In this role, you will serve as an extension of the agent—supporting new clients, managing renewals, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The team consists of five commercial professionals, and success in this position requires strong independence and self-motivation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new business book of commercial insurance accounts from onboarding through renewal
- Handle policy servicing including endorsements, certificates, coverage reviews, and policy changes
- Support remarketing efforts—experience with remarketing is a strong plus
- Prepare and process renewals, marketing submissions, and proposals
- Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and internal teams
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely follow-up on all account activity
- Deliver high-level customer service and risk management support
Qualifications
Required:
- Prior experience in commercial lines insurance required
- Active Property & Casualty license (any state license accepted; client will assist with obtaining MN licensure)
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks without a rigid workflow structure
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Experience servicing commercial accounts and supporting producers
- Preferred:Familiarity with agency management systems
- Remarketing experience
