IMT Insurance is now seeking candidates for the position of Casualty Claim Representative. This position will require the applicant to have the necessary skills to investigate, analyze, evaluate and determine coverage, liability and damages involving personal and commercial casualty losses.

This individual will also correspond with or interview policy holders, agents and witnesses to compile information. Apply online today!

• Investigates casualty losses and makes decisions on claim reserves, coverages, claim negotiation, file documentation and customer relations on a daily basis.
• Denies, settles, or authorizes payments of casualty claims based on coverage, liability and verifiable damages.
• Responsibilities include corresponding with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, etc. to communicate important information and/or gather important information to support claim decisions.
• Prepares reports of findings and evaluations and negotiates settlements.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Claims field.
• Occasional work is directed to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Primary job functions require exercising some independent judgment.

• Ability to read, problem solve and pay close attention to details.
• Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both orally and in writing in a professional manner.
• Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market.
• Must develop and maintain strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to advise and guide claim personnel in the handling of casualty claims.
• Experience in Construction Defect/Casualty claims is desired, but not necessary.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and complete essential job functions on a daily basis.
• Requires a college degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of casualty claims experience or related claims knowledge.

The salary range for this position is $55,000.00 - $99,000.00

Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience

This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
