Senior Reinsurance Technician; Hybrid

Guy Carpenter offers flexible working hours, including Finish Early Fridays, and a hybrid schedule that allows two days of remote work and three days in our Witham office.

You will support our client base through transactional processing and secure reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry.

• Work with reinsurance professionals across Witham and London, bringing experience and technical knowledge.
• Gain significant experience in a technical capacity for a broker, taking full end‑to‑end responsibility of a client portfolio.
• Be part of a global business that works with reinsurance service processing and troubleshooting.

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts.
• Assist Market Fiduciary with collection of funds.
• Manage all Pro Rata post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e‑trading, ad‑hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps.
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and markets.
• Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team and/or department.

• Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the reinsurance sector.
• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

• Reinsurance claims experience.
• Experience with in Pro Rata.
• Experience of working in a technical capacity for a broker.
• Experience using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository).
• Knowledge of CLASS system for review of London market queries.
• Knowledge of Letters of Credit and the Citibank process.
