We offer property and casualty coverage designed for the unique operational aspects of social service organizations, including nonprofit and for‑profit organizations such as child daycare, sheltered workshops, group homes, senior citizen centers, independent living, schools, counseling services, YMCAs, YWCAs, and Boys & Girls Clubs.

• Develop, grow, and maintain a profitable book of Human Services business within an assigned territory through marketing and underwriting processes.
• Demonstrate functional technical knowledge of underwriting concepts, product lines, marketing, relevant systems, and competition.
• Manage relationship with assigned producers to manage submission, quote, and bind activity and deliver on service commitments established by the designated SLA.
• Risk selection: evaluate submitted applications for appetite acceptability; assess risk and determine premium, terms, and conditions per Letter of Authority; generate quote proposals and negotiate final terms for binding.
• Develop and maintain producer relationships through regular visits and phone contact; review pipeline and prospect lists; provide feedback toward goal commitments.
• Complete underwriting checklists outlining thought process, loss analysis, pricing theory, and risk characteristics.
• Maintain records and prepare required reports in Salesforce, Clearance, BPMi, and other systems.
• Communicate with marketing personnel and share competitive information.
• Serve as liaison between independent agents, claims adjusters, finance, actuarial, and risk control teams.
• Update underwriting files and provide instructions for policy issuance; handle endorsement requests timely.

• Minimum of 3 years of multi‑line underwriting and marketing experience.
• Knowledge of insurance rating, structure, forms, and coverages.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and sales closing skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency with PC and keyboarding; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

• Four‑year college degree or equivalent experience.

Base Salary Range: $52k‑$100k. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, paid time off, 401(k), and profit‑sharing plans.

• Remote candidates outside Minneapolis and Chicago metro areas will be considered if well qualified and willing to travel frequently.
• Travel required.
