What you will doThis is an important customer-facing position, as you ll be responsible for meeting with our insureds and completing field estimates. The territory for this field adjuster position is primarily the Charlotte, Raleigh, and surrounding areas. Personal and commercial lines losses will be reviewed, with estimates then moving to our team of desk adjusters. On occasion, desk estimating will be required as needed.
This position includes eligibility for a company vehicle.
- Investigate, prepare complete scope and report on personal and commercial lines property losses.
- Position requires extensive personal contact with insureds, their legal representatives and customer agents. Occasional contact with law enforcement officials may be required.
- Operate on an independent basis with limited supervision in handling/settling a high volume of claims within assigned authority.
- Follow estimating guidelines and adhere to field adjuster turnaround times.
- Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.
- High school graduate required, 4 year college degree preferred.
- 4-7 years of adjusting personal and commercial lines claims preferred.
- 3-5 years of field adjuster experience including writing estimates preferred.
Required to obtain your license(s) as an adjuster in the state(s) in which you are assigned to adjust claims. Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set forth by the Company and must be maintained as needed throughout your employment.
Salary range: $77,000 - $110,000
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
