Job DescriptionWe provide a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial in-person training, this role may have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated carrier, is seeking a motivated individual for the role of entry-level PIP Claims Representative in MI.
Responsibilities include:
- Investigating and assembling facts, determining policy coverage, evaluating losses, and paying owed benefits.
- Reviewing medical bills, authorizing payments, and ensuring timely and accurate payments in accordance with Michigan No-Fault Statute.
- Administering benefits under the Michigan No-Fault Statute.
- Working toward claim resolution and attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as needed.
- Servicing agents, policyholders, and others.
- Handling investigations via phone and mail.
- Conducting investigations on complex claims.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to resolve complex issues
- Data organization and interpretation skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments
- Attention to detail
