Commercial Insurance Account Manager - Transportation (Remote Opportunity)
Title: Account Manager - Commercial Lines
Location: Fully Remote (Pacific or Mountain Time Zones). Supporting:
Lehi, UT.
Book Focus: Transportation.
Required: Active P&C license and experience with commercial transportation accounts.
Note: Remote positions may require occasional on-site presence near a branch.
About the Role: Manage assigned book, ensuring account retention and supporting new business. Coordinate administrative and customer service activities, resolve issues, ensure no errors/omissions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
- Lead daily activities of the account management team.
- Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
- Manage policy expirations and renewals.
- Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
- Monitor accounts receivable, collect outstanding balances.
- Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
- Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
- Communicate frequent, transparent updates to the account team on workload status and issues.
- Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, respond quickly.
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
- Seek and adopt best practices for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate integrity and leadership, champion IOA values.
- 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in insurance industry.
- Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
- Active licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Salary Range: $70K to $100K per year, depending on experience and location.
