Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner

Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to their Midwest team. This would be a fully remote position. Duties will consist of handling mid to complex Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must reside in the Midwest and possess a strong knowledge in one or multiple Midwest states.

• Handle moderate to complex Workers' Compensation claims from inception to close.
• Process a workload ranging from 90 to 120 claims.
• Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
• Ensure appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances, retain and utilize experts as necessary, select and utilize counsel appropriately, and employ a proper negotiation strategy.
• Provide direction to legal counsel and manage the litigation process.
• Attend settlement conferences on serious injury claims.

• 5 to 10+ years of experience handling Workers' Compensation claims.
• Strong Workers' Compensation knowledge in one or more Midwest states.
• Experience handling litigated files.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• High School Diploma;
  Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

• Base pay range: $80,000 – $110,000 per year.
• $80,000 to $110,000 annual base salary plus 10% target bonus.
