Commercial General Liability Specialist

Overview

Employer Industry: Insurance

• Investigate, evaluate, and process commercial general liability claims, including construction defects and third-party injuries
• Coordinate inspections with outside vendors and experts
• Handle mechanical professional liability damage claims and third-party property damage claims
• Comply with claims organization policies and state regulations
• Effectively investigate and close a minimum average of 25 losses per month

• Minimum of 5 years of general liability experience or related industry experience
• Excellent telephone and personal claims negotiation and investigation skills
• Strong knowledge of tort law, medical terms, and commercial lines policies and coverages
• Understanding of auto and building repair methods
• A college degree is strongly desired; multi-language skills are a plus

• Continuing Education in claims-related training or designations such as AIC or CPCU
• Previous experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
