Overview

Commercial Lines Account Manager (Large Lines-Remote in NY only)

• Manage a designated book of large lines business, including policy renewals, preparing coverage summaries, and processing binders, certificates, proposals, and insurance documents in a timely manner.
• Conduct consultative discussions with commercial clients to assess needs and deliver tailored insurance solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
• Obtain renewal quotes from current markets, process renewals, and handle cancellations or non-renewals when necessary.
• Prepare complete marketing submissions for existing accounts as required.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling appropriate coverages.
• Provide support with miscellaneous tasks as needed, contributing to team and agency growth.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance customer service or account management.
• Experience with very large lines of commercial insurance.
• Active Property & Casualty License (all lines).
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, terminology, and document processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Applied/EPIC is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to professional development; college degree or industry designations preferred.
• Positive attitude and resilience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong customer service mindset with a passion for delivering a positive client experience.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
• Clear and professional communication skills, even under pressure.
