Underwriting Specialist OR Executive Underwriter - Multinational

Job Summary

Zurich is currently looking for an experienced Underwriting Specialist OR Executive Underwriter – Multinational to join our team in the Central Region. The position focuses on Middle Market Multinational business and is based out of a centrally located office (Overland Park, KS; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Cleveland, OH; or St. Louis, MO). You will work on a hybrid basis – in office 3 days a week – with flexibility to create a schedule that supports our customers, brokers, agents, and your needs.

• Underwrite, analyze, and generate new and renewal business.
• Market‑facing production within the Middle Market Multinational division.
• Administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manual rules.
• Develop and maintain agency and broker relationships in the West Region.
• Work within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market‑Facing area.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and at least 1 year of experience in the Underwriting or Market‑Facing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and at least 4 years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Knowledge of lines of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market‑Facing area.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and at least 3 years of experience in the Underwriting or Market‑Facing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and at least 8 years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Multinational experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Combined salary range: $75,000.00 – $.
Underwriting Specialist: $75,000.00 – $ (short‑term incentive bonus eligible 10%).
Executive Underwriter: $98,500.00 – $ (short‑term incentive bonus eligible 15%).
