EXL Risk Control is a leading provider of risk assessments and loss control surveys to commercial lines insurance carriers. We are seeking candidates with 10+ years of experience with a major insurance carrier and/or national broker in commercial Property & Casualty Risk Control, excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. Knowledge or experience in commercial insurance, inspections, or fire and safety assessments is encouraged.
You will be responsible for scheduling on-site surveys, providing risk evaluation and risk improvement reports to clients, and managing your assignments to meet deadlines. Work may include special projects or more challenging risk evaluations, utilizing your education, certifications, and risk control skills. Insured businesses range from Middle Market to Large Multi-location commercial sizes.
Consultants work from home or office, traveling to local commercial businesses such as retail, restaurants, hotels, apartment complexes, construction sites, manufacturers, churches, and schools. You will assess risks across various insurance lines including Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.
Tools or items you must provide:
- Windows-based PC with scanner
- Digital camera
- High-speed internet
- Measuring device (laser, tape, or wheel)
- Reliable vehicle
Preferred experience:
- 10+ years in Risk Control Consulting
- Experience with major carriers or brokers
- BS in Engineering, Safety, or physical sciences
- CSP or ARM designations (preferred)
- Experience in Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Loss Control, Underwriting, or Claims
- Experience with commercial inspections and fire/life safety investigations
No licensed insurance agents/producers are required.
