Position: Complex Claims Advisor (REMOTE - NC license & experience REQUIRED; some travel)

Complex Claims Advisor (REMOTE)

Sedgwick is seeking a Complex Claims Advisor to manage and resolve high‑complexity casualty claims from our global client portfolio. The role requires strategic oversight, subject‑matter expertise, and a commitment to quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage a complex claim inventory, assessing issues and directing resolution to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Serve as the organizational subject‑matter expert for line of business and jurisdictional claim issues.
  • Evaluate exposure, recommend action plans, and document clear file notes for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate round tables and engage internal/external resources as needed.
  • Provide technical leadership, co‑ownership of claim issues, and drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and support the organization’s quality programs.
  • Travel as required.
Qualifications

Education & Licensing

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; industry designation(s) preferred.
  • Required licenses for specific jurisdictions.

Experience

  • Eight (8) years of casualty claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience handling complex claims.
  • Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration or ADR on higher‑value complex claims.
  • Supervisory experience a plus; specific jurisdictional expertise preferred.
