Sourcing Senior Claims Resolution Specialist Bodily Injury
Join the Liberty Mutual Insurance team as a Senior Claims Resolution Specialist dedicated to managing attorney-represented and litigated auto and homeowner’s bodily injury claims. This role focuses on investigative resolution, quality service to policyholders, and collaboration with legal counsel and external resources.
Location and Work RequirementsThis position requires a minimum of two days per month onsite at the Liberty Mutual office in Clifton Park, NY or Marlton, NJ
. Candidates must be within a 50‑mile radius of these locations. Applications from Washington, Idaho, and California are not being considered at this time.
- Manage, investigate, and resolve claims, evaluating coverage, liability, damages, and settling within prescribed authority levels.
- Identify potential suspicious claims, refer to the Special Investigations Unit, and spot third‑party subrogation opportunities.
- Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences; report status to Home Office and local management.
- Collaborate with trial counsel and prepare trial reports.
- Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather claim information, refer tasks to auxiliary resources, and advise proper actions.
- Respond to written and telephone inquiries, including status reports.
- Ensure adequacy of reserve; recommend reserve increases on cases exceeding authority.
- Maintain security of financial processing and sensitive information in claims files.
- Update files and provide comprehensive reports as required.
- Manage the practices and billing activities of outside and in‑house counsel.
- Travel 10% of the time for trials, mediations, and in‑person events.
- 3+ years of Personal Lines Third Party Auto Casualty experience.
- 3+ years of Litigation experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and investigative skills.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Strong competency of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and State Tort Law.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of directly related experience.
- Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
