This role joins Kinetic’s underwriting team and owns territory expansion. Responsibilities include growing appointed broker relationships, engaging with producers regularly (phone and in-person), and building submission volumes that drive premium growth while maintaining profitability.

• Grow broker relationships in your appointed agency base through in-person and telephonic meetings
• Price policies and evaluate risks for our middle‑market, monoline Workers’ Comp product
• Serve as the primary point of contact for broker partners regarding submissions, pricing decisions, service options, and declines
• Travel to brokers as needed while managing submission flow
• Innovate risk pricing methods for class codes that Kinetic aims to grow across the U.S.
• Provide training and support to junior underwriters when required
• Own the growth of submissions and premium, while achieving a profitable loss ratio in your designated territory

• At least 5 years of underwriting experience in middle‑market Workers’ Comp insurance, with strong technical knowledge of rating and classification
• Explicit ownership of a territory as a field or production underwriter, with a proven track record of building premium profitably
• Experience managing a full book of business—including renewals, endorsements, policy changes, class code changes, audit inquiries, and rating bureau CRITS
• Integrated loss‑control services into pricing and account servicing strategies

• Prior experience working remotely

• Remote position with up to 30% travel
• Total annual compensation of $120k‑$160k plus equity
