Working Business Language: Bilingual in French and English. This role is considered a head office role and requires regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders across Canada where the business languages utilized are both English and French. As such, the successful candidate must be fully proficient in English and French.
Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $100,000 - $120,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job OverviewThe Key‑Account Manager Commercial Mid-Market is responsible for working closely with the Manager, Underwriting Operations, Commercial Mid-Market and Director to manage and underwrite key accounts greater than $100,000 in the premium. This role is responsible for defining strategies and tactics that drive new business acquisition and premium retention in the larger account space while ensuring portfolio quality, profitability and competitiveness for the defined segment/portfolio.
Reporting to the Underwriting Manager, Underwriting Operations, Commercial Mid-Market this creative, solution‑oriented, technical underwriter works close partnership with leadership to develop acquisition and retention strategies for key and large accounts, creative underwriting solutions, identification of opportunities, while ensuring portfolio quality, and profitability while maintaining a competitive edge. This role will hold high underwriting authority and be responsible for getting complex deals over the line.
