Overview

Personal Injury Claims Adjuster - Motor role at QBE Europe. Leeds/Hybrid. Full time, employee. The role involves examining, evaluating and processing claims estimates and paid claim values in accordance with policy terms and the QBE Claims Philosophy.

• Investigate and resolve Motor Personal Injury claims to provide excellent claims handling with minimal leakage
• Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure the company’s liability aligns with contractual commitments
• Identify subrogation, contribution and other recovery issues and pursue them where appropriate
• Manage claims and other material issues to resolve and settle claims economically
• Ensure claims fees and advices are responded to within agreed time frames to provide good service
• Respond to internal and external stakeholder requests in line with service standards
• Flag complaints as required and Treat Customers Fairly
• Maintain knowledge of the claims portfolio and provide information as requested to support Underwriting and claims decisions
• Reserve accurately to ensure the Company’s liability is clear at all times
• Maintain efficient handling of own caseload for prompt, timely and effective claims handling

• Excellent investigative skills
• Experience dealing with policy coverage
• Experience dealing with liability negotiations
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Relationship management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
