Information Technology Leader

Overview

This is an opportunity with Logan Simpson, a multidisciplinary consulting firm. The role is an Information Technology (IT) Leader, full-time, hybrid remote based out of Tempe, AZ, with leadership responsibilities and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Develop and oversee the firm’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cybersecurity, storage and backup devices, data centers, and phone systems.
• Oversee maintenance of all aspects of the IT infrastructure, including routine maintenance and repair of computer systems, and installing and testing software upgrades and new technology equipment.
• Manage hardware, software, and software license inventories and ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, systems, hardware, software, and equipment; recommend improvements to firm systems as needed.
• Participate in IT policy and procedure development, documentation, implementation, and staff training presentations.
• Supervise and mentor the technical and professional development of an emerging IT team (1-3 staff).
• Manage special projects including CMMC certification; collaborate with business line leads and project leads to implement innovative technology.

• 10+ years of IT service/management experience, preferably overseeing the IT infrastructure of a small to mid-sized organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365 and other Microsoft products (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune).
• Experience and knowledge of Cato, Sophos Firewall, VMWare, Entra  (Azure AD), and Kase ticketing system.
• Strong knowledge of VPN, SAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and Terminal Server.
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills; leadership maturity; strong discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to evolving priorities.

• Technology certificates are a plus.
• Experience developing and executing a multi-year IT strategic roadmap aligned with business growth and objectives.
• Experience leading cybersecurity governance and compliance initiatives (e.g., CMMC, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST), including audit oversight and risk management.
• Experience managing IT budgets, capital planning, and enterprise vendor negotiations across a multi-office environment.
• Experience presenting technology strategy, risk posture, and major initiatives to executive leadership.
• Experience building, mentoring, and scaling IT teams, including performance management and succession planning.
• Experience leading modernization efforts such as cloud migration, digital transformation, automation, or AI governance initiatives.
• Experience designing and overseeing formal Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and incident response programs.

Compensation:
This is a full-time salaried position ranging from $100,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
