Quality Assurance Tester- Journeyman; Remote

Description

The Associate Quality Assurance Tester (QA Tester) works with Senior testers to craft thorough test scripts and ensure the highest standards of quality on every user story. The tester creates test scripts, documents detailed testing results, and collaborates with the development team to explain findings. Familiarity with agile methodologies and time management is required to meet sprint deadlines.

This position must be performed in the United States. ICF monitors employee work locations and blocks access from foreign IP addresses, and prohibits personal VPN connections. Core work hours are 9 am–5 pm Eastern Time.

• Create test scripts to accurately evaluate all functional criteria
• Provide detailed documentation of testing results for all stories and features
• Author UAT scripts and assist in UAT facilitation
• Work with end users to troubleshoot issues during UAT
• Communicate testing results and demo functionality to users as needed
• Collaborate within an agile framework with QA testers, business analysts, developers, training team, and product owner to ensure high‑quality solutions
• Test integrations
• Work with Senior QAs to assist as needed

• U.S. Citizenship (required by federal government)
• Active Public Trust Clearance from any agency
• Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance
• Must reside in the United States; work must be performed in the United States
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance testing
• 2+ years reviewing and analyzing data and documentation related to system quality
• 2+ years authoring test scripts
• 2+ years testing all product backlog items and providing pass/fail documentation
• 1+ year working in an agile environment
• Experience creating test scripts for UAT

• Active DHS or DoW Public Trust clearance
• Strong experience in an agile environment
• Analytical ability to summarize existing system documentation relative to project goals
• Experience across multiple projects
• Experience with Service Now CSM, ITSM, and App Engine
• Active CSA
• Experience testing telephonic systems

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive and communicative
• Good understanding of basic system technologies relevant to project deliverables
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment

Full‑time, nationwide remote (U.S.) pay range: $81,499 – $138,549.
